In the second quarter of 2025, the Android communication app market in Hungary saw significant activity. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five apps demonstrated varied performance trends.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $164 in the last week of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 14.4K mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, with figures hovering around 3.5M throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 12.9K in late May. Active users exhibited a slight increase, ending the quarter with about 1.2M weekly users.

NAV-Mobil experienced a significant decline in weekly downloads after an initial peak of 24.2K in early April. Active users also decreased, dropping to about 16.6K by the end of May, before recovering to 31.9K in the last week of June.

Snapchat from Snap Inc. maintained a consistent revenue stream, with highs reaching $1.5K in late May. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 6K weekly, while active users fluctuated, closing the quarter with approximately 294.5K users.

Rakuten Viber Messenger saw a steady increase in revenue, peaking at $1.6K at the end of June. Downloads and active users showed moderate fluctuations, with the latter ending at around 1.5M weekly users.
